Guahati University has issued the official notice of Guahati University’s PG admission process in 2021. Soon, Guahati University will launch its online post-graduation (PG) admission application form filling portal. Aspiring and eligible candidates will be able to fill out the online application form to apply for liberal arts (MA), science (MSc) and business graduate courses (MCOM). Eligibility Criteria for GU PG Admission

MA and MSc Courses:

# B.A/B.Sc./B.Com. (in 10+2+3 pattern) with Major/honours courses in the concerned subject or
# B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. (in 10+2+3 pattern) with a general pass course with at least 45% Marks in the concerned subject as well as in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.
MCom Course:
# B.A/B.Sc./B.Com. (in 10+2+3 pattern) with Major/honours courses in the concerned subject or
# B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. (in 10+2+3 pattern) with a general pass course with at least 45% Marks in the concerned subject as well as in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.
# 45% Marks is to be calculated on the basis of marks obtained in Part I and Part II of the (2+1) pattern and part I, part II and Part III of the (1+1+1) pattern .
 
GU PG Common Entrance Test
Guahati University (University Departments and University Colleges) will conduct entrance exams for different graduate courses during 2021-22. Admission will be strictly based on the performance and qualification standards of the entrance examination.
The offline entrance examination will be conducted in September 2021.
However, last year, admission was strictly based on the performance and qualification standards of the respective qualification examinations. There is no general entrance examination for the 2020-21 session.

Entrance Schedule for GU PG Admission

Gauhati University has declared the schedule of GU Common Entrance Test 2021 for the selection of students for admission into various courses as mentioned below.
Reservation: 
Reservation of Seats for GU PG Courses are as under
#  For Scheduled Caste: 7%
# For Scheduled Tribes (Plains): 10%
# For Scheduled Tribes (Hill): 5%
# For OBC & MOBC: 15%
# For Differently Abled: 3% (for each Discipline of Faculty)
# For Sons and daughters of permanent GU Employees: 1 Seat in each dept with intake capacity 40 or less and 2 seats when the intake is more than 40 students.
# For Fringe Village: 10 seats
# For GU Ex-Employees: 5 seats
# For Ex- Defense: As per EC resolution
# For Moran Community of Assam: 2 seats.
# For Extra Curricular: 1 seat in each department.
# For NCC & NSS: 5 seats.
# For Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 10% Reservation from unreserved category in each subject.
 
# In the admission of traditional learning programs, 80% of the total enrollment rate will be reserved for Guahati University students. The remaining 20% ​​will be reserved for non-Guahati University students.
# According to Resolution WEC-02/2020/13 issued by the Executive Council on January 25, 2020, the economically weaker part (EWS), that is, 10% of the unreserved category will be reserved for university departments and affiliated colleges Of different graduate courses in universities.

Gauhati University PG Admission Fee

Last year, according to the notice No. AHE.639/2018/16 dated June 10, 2020, all departments and affiliated colleges of Guahati University were exempted from all the fees for different postgraduate courses in the 2020-21 academic year from the Ministry of Higher Education of the Government of Assam. .
But this year there is no such rule; it means that this year candidates must pay a certain amount of entrance fee based on his course or other criteria.

Application fee for Gauhati University PG Admission is Rs. 400/- . In addition to that the candidate has to pay examination fee .
