Counseling for Selection of Candidates for Admission into 1st year MBBS/ BDS courses in the Medical & Dental Colleges of Assam for the session 2020 under Special Category quota.


(i.e. Freedom Fighters/ Martyr of Assam Movement/ Extremist violence/ Ex-Service man & Serving Defence Personnel/ Sports/ Rank Holder (1st & 2nd) of AHSEC, Assam 2020) and Physical Verification of PwD (Divyang) candidates

(I) This is for general information to all candidates who have applied for admission into 1st year MBBS/BDS courses in the Medical & Dental Colleges of Assam for the session 2020 under Special Category quota (Freedom Fighters/ Martyr of Assam Movement/ Extremist violence/ Ex-Serviceman & Serving Defence Personnel/ Sports / Rank Holder (1st & 2nd) of AHSEC. Assam 2020) as per this Directorate Educational Notice No. DME/ UG/126/ 2020/15249. dated 31.10.2020. that the offline counseling for selection of candidates of the said categories will be held on 9th November. 2020 as per the program given below.

Candidates are required to produce the appropriate certificates/testimonials etc. in originally issued by the competent authority before the Selection Board. The eligible candidates must be duly filled up the Application Form of Schedule-I of Admission Rule (in original) along with all relevant annexure certificates attached with Application Form, Admit Card, Score Card, and OMR Sheet of NEET-UG-2020.

Marks sheets of 10+2 (Sc.) examination, Admit Card of HSLC or equivalent examination, Pass Certificate of HSLC or equivalent. Pass certificate of HSSLC or equivalent. PRC. Caste & other reserved category certificates. and other relevant documents in the original for verification during the counseling process. A set of photocopies of all the said documents duly signed by the candidate himself/herself are to be submitted along with the Application Form at the time of counseling.

Application Form with all Annexures shall be available on our official website www.dme.assam.govin. Incomplete Application forms shall be summarily rejected. Candidates are requested to follow the instructions laid down in the MBBS/BDS Admission Rules 2017 and its subsequent Amendments as well as the instructions in the body of the Annexed Certificates with Application Form before filling up of the Application Form All eligible candidates must appear personally for counseling on the scheduled dates and time. No further extension of the date will be made under any circumstances.

Date of Counseling: 9th November 2020 (A) Position Holders in HSSLC (Science) Examination, 2020 from AHSEC. Assam (1st & 2nd) provided they have qualified in the NEET-UG-2020 for admission into MBBS/ BDS course.

(B) FREEDOM FIGHTERS QUOTA:-Rank upto 1454 of Assam State merit list of NEET-UG-2020 claiming this quota.

(C) MARTYRS QUOTA:-All candidates who have obtained qualifying Marks in NEET-UG-2020 claiming this quota

(D) EXTREMIST VIOLENCE QUOTA:-All candidates who have obtained qualifying Marks in NEET-UG-2020 claiming this quota.

(E) EX-SERVICEMEN & SERVING DEFENCE PERSONNEL QUOTA: All candidates who have obtained qualifying Marks in NEET-UG-2020 claiming this quota.

(F) SPORTS QUOTA:-All candidates who have obtained qualifying Marks in NEET-UG-2020 claiming this quota. Venue of Counseling: Office of the Director of Medical Education, Assam Sixmile, Khanapara, Guwahati – 22.


Time of Counseling: At 10.00 a.m.

(II) A person with a disability (DIBYANG):Candidates who have applied under Person with disability (Divyang) (PwD) category for admission into 1st year MBBS/BDS courses in the Medical & Dental Colleges of Assam, session 2020 and who have qualified NEET-UG-2020 are requested to physically appear before the Medical Board as per the schedule mentioned above, for assessment of their disability. No further extension of the date will be made under any circumstances.

(i) A person with a disability (Divyang) (PwD) of (UR/EWS) candidates who have secured 129 mark and above in NEET-UG-2020 are eligible to appear before the Medical Board.

(ii) A person with disability (Divyang) (PwD) of (OBC/SC/ST) candidates who have secured 113 marks and above in NEET-UG-2020 are eligible to appear before the Medical Board.
