SCERT Assam D.El.Ed. Syllabus

All aspiring candidates must take 2021 Pre-Entrance Examination (PET) in order to take admission under the basic education (D.El.Ed.) two-year diploma program. The syllabusof PET 2021 has been released by the Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) of Assam. The SCERT PET Exam 2021 shall have 2 (two Sections): Section-I and Section-II
Total Marks: 100
Time Duration: 2 hours

Type of question: MCQ type
Number of question: 100 no’s
Mark carried by each question: 1


SCERT Assam PET Marking system

i) The performance of the candidate should be evaluated based on the correct and incorrect answers recorded on the OMR form.

ii) For each incorrect answer, 0.25 points should be deducted from the candidate’s total score for correct answers.

iii) Multiple answers to a question will be regarded as incorrect answers.

Tense, vocabulary, verbs, preposition, comprehension, voice-change, narration, adverbs, synonyms, antonyms
B. Under General Knowledge: World Organizations, Geography of India, Educational Commissions and Committees, New Educational Initiatives, Educational Organizations, Current affairs, who is who, abbreviations, the constitution of India, History of Assam, Inventions and discoveries, Sports. Art and culture, Every day Science,

C. ReasoningLogical and analytical reasoning, pattern, etc.


In Section-II:

Mathematics:

a. Numbers: Natural, whole, even and odd numbers, prime and composite numbers, place value, four fundamental operations of number, factors and multiples, prime factors, LCM and HCF, ascending and descending order.
b. Fractions: Concept of fraction and its uses,
c. Percentage: Concept of percentage, solving problems involving percentage, profit and loss.
d. Money: Concept of money, solving problems involving money.
e. Geometry: Angles, types of angles, types of triangle, types of quadrilateral, circle.
f. Measurement: Length, area, volume and perimeter of different geometrical figures, Measurement of weight and time.
g. Data handling: Representation of data, Bar diagram, Pie diagram.
h. Square & square root: Concept of square root, solving problems involving square root.
i. Ratio and proportion
j. Simple algebraic equation.
