APSC Civil Engineer Recruitment Vacancy

A) Name of the Post: Assistant Engineer (Civil) under Water Resources Department

Number of posts: 63 (Sixty three)

(1) Scale of Pay: Rs. 300001- to Rs. 1.10,000/- PM (PB-4) with Grade Pay of Rs.12,700/- PM Plus other allowances as per rules of the Govt.

(2) Age: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2021.

The upper age limit is relaxable :-

(i) By 5 years for SC/ST candidates i.e. up to 43 years.

(ii) By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. up to 41 years as per Govt. Notification No. ABP. 6/2016/9 dated Dispur the 25th April 2018.

(iii) For Persons with Disability (PWD) by 10 years irrespective of SCIST/OBC and General Category of a candidate as per Govt. Notification No. ABP 144/95/121 dated Dispur the 28th October, 2015.

The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the Matriculation /HSLC Admit Card/ HSLC Pass Certificate issued by a recognized Board/Council and no other document shall be accepted in lieu of the mentioned documents.

(3) Qualification:

 (i) B.E or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering obtained from any institute approved by the AICTE and recognized by the Government.

(ii) The Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineenng must be a Regular Full Time Course. Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering obtained through Distance Mode of Education, by whatever name called. will not be accepted.

(iii) Apart from English. the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least 1(one) official language of the State of Assam (i.e. Assamese/Bengali/Bodo) except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.

 (4) ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam. For proof of permanent residence. the candidate or his/her parents must be voter of Assam. The voter ID card of the candidate or his/her parents will be treated as proof of permanent residence. (Attach self attested valid supporting documents).

B) Name of the Post: Junior Engineer (Civil) under Water Resources Department

(1 ) Scale of Pay: Rs. 14,0001- to Rs. 60,500/- PM (PB-2) with Grade Pay of Rs.8,700/- PM Plus other allowances as per rules of the Govt.

(2) Age: The candidates should not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01.01.2021.

The upper age limit is relaxable:-

(i) By 5 years for SC/ST candidates i.e. upto 43 years.

(ii) By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. upto 41 years as per Govt. Notification No. ABP. 6,2016/9 dated Dispur the 25th Apnl 2018.

How To Apply For APSC Water Resource Department Recruitment

Applicants are required to apply online through Water Resources Department’s Govt. website i.e. www.waterresources.assam.gov.in. No other means/ mode of application will be accepted and the Applications received through other means will be summarily rejected.

Screening/Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of merit as per academic performance.

Methodology of recruitment: Due to the current pandemic situation a contactless process of selection purely based on academic performance from HSLC to Degree for the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil) and HSLC to Diploma for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil) will be followed. 

EWS

 EWS candidates must produce Income & Assets certificate of the family issued by the Officer not below the rank of Circle Officer as per provision of para 5 of Govt. OM no ABP 07/2019/4 dated 10.04.2019. Kindly refer to the Govt. OM No. ABP 07/2019116 dated 31.12.2019.

NOTE:- 

The candidates applying for the post should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions for recruitment to the post. If on verification at any time before or after the screening procedure it is found that they do not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions then their candidature for the post will be cancelled by the appointing authority.

The Candidates must submit a Declaration in the form-A appended along with the application form while applying for the post in response to the advertisement made.

For PWD Category Candidate: Since there is no post reserved for PWD candidates they will have to compete with other candidates without any PWD reservation. For categories for which there is no reservation: Such candidates will have to compete with other candidates in open category.
