The Assam State Boiler Chief Inspector’s Office has issued an official notice that it will hold the Class I and Class II boiler attendant examinations in accordance with the 2011 Boiler Attendant Regulations. ​​Interested and eligible candidates can apply here.

Anyone who does not possess a boiler attendant competency certificate shall not be considered suitable for handling one or more boilers with a total heating surface of more than 1,000 square meters. Meters are within a radius of 50 meters.

The state government has established an examination committee to conduct examinations for the issuance of certificates of competence for boiler attendants in accordance with the provisions of the 2011 boiler attendant rules.

Eligibility Criteria of Boiler Attendant Examination

The class-wise eligibility details are mentioned below for Boiler Attendant Examination 2021. Candidates please check once before apply

Class I Exam

Educational Qualification: At least Matriculation or equivalent exam.

Experience: 2 Years with IInd Class certificate of proficiency as Boiler Attendant.

Age Limit: 
Not less than 20 years of age.

For Class II Exam

Educational Qualification: At least Matriculation or equivalent exam.

Experience: 2 years as Fireman/ Operator/ Pump man/ Waterman/ Assistant Fireman/ Assistant Operator on a Steam Boiler.

Age Limit: Not less than 18 years of age.

Note: For detailed eligibility criteria, candidates are requested to check official notification.

Examination Fee:

For Class I Exam: Rs 500/- (Five Hundred) is to be deposited into Treasury under the Head of Account “0230- Labour and Employment, 103-Fees for inspection of Steam Boiler “or pay online through eGras portal www.assamegras.gov.in .

For Class II Exam:  
Rs 300/- (Three hundred) is to be deposited into Treasury under the Head of Account “0230- Labour and Employment, 103-Fees for inspection of Steam Boiler ”or pay online through eGras portal www.assamegras.gov.in

Interested and qualified candidates can download the application form from the official website. The correctly filled application should be sent to the following address. Secretary of the Inspection Committee of the Boiler Attendant Inspection Office of the Chief Inspector of Boiler in Assam, Guwahati-29, Lalmati, Assam.

The last date of submission of the application is 12th 20th November 2021y.
